Today I attended seminar “The Art of Speaking Fundamental Skills for Biomedical Research Professionals” given by Lisa Marshall at University of Pennsylvania. Seminar aimed to help scientific professionals, enhance and develop their public speaking and presentation skills.

It was great seminar! Incredibly useful! I learned a lot and highly recommend you to attend if Lisa will give a lecture in your university.

I was happy to know that Lisa has a blog – place on the web, where you can learn some tricks and get some tips how to deliver your knowledges to audience.

Should I tell you how is it important for your scientific or business career?

You can download presentation “The Art of Speaking” from Lisa’s blog.

(attention traffic-dependent users! pdf file = 132Mb, but it’s worth it!)

Public speaking is definitely an art I must learn to master because this is part of my life now. I never expected that I would venture into a field requiring me to give presentations as often as I do because I am greatly afraid of public speaking. Thanks for sharing!

I learned today from Lisa’s seminar, that according research, public speaking is the phobia #1 in the society. You will wonder, but phobia of death is only 7th on the list!!!

Yes, we have to learn how to…
and practice, practice, practice… this is a way to successful career!
